Flight Compensation — Terms & Conditions
This page explains the terms and conditions of BlueGo's optional Flight Compensation service, facilitated by our partner AirHelp.
What this service is
BlueGo offers an optional flight protection service (“Flight Compensation”) as part of its travel products.
This service is facilitated by AirHelp Germany GmbH (“AirHelp”), a third-party provider specializing in air passenger compensation claims.
BlueGo is not a law firm, airline, or claims management company. BlueGo acts as an intermediary that connects eligible customers with AirHelp's compensation service.
How it works
When the customer activates Flight Compensation during checkout and provides their flight details (flight number, date), BlueGo shares the flight itinerary with AirHelp for the purpose of monitoring potential flight disruptions (delays of 3 hours or more, cancellations, denied boarding).
If AirHelp determines that the customer's flight may be eligible for compensation under applicable regulations (such as EU Regulation 261/2004), BlueGo will share the customer's personal data (name, email address) with AirHelp so they can contact the customer directly.
AirHelp will then invite the customer via email to file a compensation claim. Filing a claim is entirely voluntary — the customer is never obligated to proceed.
If the customer chooses to file a claim, the relationship for that claim is directly between the customer and AirHelp, governed by AirHelp's own terms of service.
Data sharing and GDPR
By activating Flight Compensation, the customer gives explicit consent for BlueGo to share the following data with AirHelp:
- Flight itinerary (flight number, date, departure/arrival airports, airline)
- Personal information (first name, last name, email address) — only shared when AirHelp identifies a potentially eligible case
This data is shared solely for the purpose of assessing eligibility for flight compensation and facilitating the claims process.
The customer may withdraw consent at any time by contacting BlueGo at flight-compensation@bluego.io. Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
BlueGo processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy and the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
AirHelp processes personal data as an independent data controller for the purposes of the compensation service, subject to AirHelp's own privacy policy.
Pricing and compensation
The Flight Compensation service is provided free of charge to the customer.
The customer does not pay any upfront fee for activating flight protection.
If a claim is successful, AirHelp's service fee is deducted from the compensation amount as described in AirHelp's terms. BlueGo does not charge any additional fee.
Eligibility and limitations
- Not all flights or disruptions are eligible for compensation. Eligibility depends on the applicable regulations, the nature of the disruption, and the airline's responsibility.
- BlueGo and AirHelp do not guarantee that any claim will result in compensation.
- AirHelp reserves the right to assess which claims to pursue at its sole discretion.
- The service is available for flights departing from or arriving at airports in jurisdictions with applicable passenger compensation regulations.
Non-binding service and availability
Activating Flight Compensation is optional and non-binding: it does not oblige you to file any claim, and you may choose not to proceed at any time.
BlueGo does not guarantee that the service or any compensation will be available. Flight compensation depends on the applicable passenger-rights regulations, which vary by country and route, and the service may not be available in all parts of the world, nor for all flight origins or destinations.
Liability
BlueGo's role is limited to facilitating the connection between the customer and AirHelp. BlueGo is not liable for the outcome of any compensation claim.
Any disputes related to the compensation claim itself are between the customer and AirHelp.
